স্বদেশবাসীর একাংশের বিশ্বাস ঘাতকতায় সিন্ধু রাজ দাহির পরাজিত ও নিহত। বিন্ কাশিম দূর্গ অধিকার করে ৬০০০ হিন্দুকে হত্যা করে। অতঃপর রাজা দাহিরের ছিন্ন মুন্ড ইরাকের শাসক হজ্জাজের নিকট প্রেরণ করেন। সঙ্গে একখানি পত্র। পত্রে বিন কাশিম জানান ঃ “রাজা দাহিরের ভ্রাতুস্পুত্র, সেনাপতি ও পদস্থ রাজকর্মচারীদের ইতিপূর্বেই যমালয়ে পাঠিয়ে দেওয়া হয়েছে। বিধর্মীদের ইসলামে ধর্মান্তর অথবা বধ করা হয়েছে (Either Islam or Death)। মন্দির ভেঙে নির্মিত হয়েছে মসজিদ। সকাল সন্ধ্যায় আল্লার উদ্দেশ্যে পাঠ করা হয় নামাজ। জেহাদের অনুপ্রেরণায় বিন্ কাশিম অধিকৃত দেবল নগরীর সকল ব্রাহ্মণদের সুন্নত করতে আদেশ দেন। তারা অসম্মত হলে, তিনি ১৭ বৎসরের উর্দ্ধে সকল পুরুষকে হত্যা করেন। শিশু মহিলা সহ অন্যসকলের ভাগ্যে জুটল দাসত্বের শৃঙ্খল। (The nephew of Raja Dahir, his warriors and principal officers have been dispatched and the infidels converted to Islam or destroyed.
